60,000 kutoka mataifa 80, wanaolitumikia kanisa kwa

alimfanya mwanzilishi wa Opus Dei kuwa Mtakatifu
tarehe 6 Oktoba 2002 mjini Roma. Sikukuu yake

Josemaria umelazwa katika kanisa kuu la Prelature
ya Opus Dei liitwalo ‘Mama Yetu wa Amani’, katika
barabara ya Bruno Buozzi 75, mjini Roma.

Mtakatifu Bruno Mkartusi alikuwa padri wa Kanisa Katoliki na mmonaki aliyeanzisha ambaye aliweza kuanzisha shirika la kitawa kwa wakaapweke ambalo linadumu mpaka leo .Mtakatifu Bruno anaheshimiwa kama Mtakatifu.Mtakatifu Bruno alizaliwa mwaka 1030.Mnamo Juni 1101 Roger alifariki dunia, akiwa na Bruno karibu naye. Tarehe 6 Oktoba Bruno pia akafariki, akizungukwa na wafuasi wake.
Sikukuu yake inaazimishwa kila tarehe 6 Oktoba.
Mtakatifu Bruno utuombee
Akiwa kijana alikwenda Reims nchini Ufaransa, ambapo mwaka 1057 Askofu Gervas alimkabidhi uongozi wa shule iliyomlea. Mnamo mwaka 1076 aliacha shughuli zake shuleni na jimboni akiwa kama katibu mkuu akamkimbilia mtawala mdogo Ebal wa Roucy, kutokana na askofu Mnase wa Gournay kumchukia kwa sababu ya kumlaumu kwa kosa la usimoni . Aliamua kurudi Ufaransa mwaka 1080, baada ya Manase kuondolewa na mtaguso maalumu.
Katika miaka hiyo migumu, ndipo wito wake wa kimonaki ulipojitokeza. Katika barua yake aliyoandika Mtakatifu Bruno alisimulia jinsi alivyoweka nadhiri ya kujitoa wakfu kwa Mungu pamoja na marafiki wawili.
Baada ya kurudi Ufaransa, alikwenda kwenye makao ya upwekeni ya Molesme, chini ya uongozi wa Robert wa Molesme ,mwanzilishi wa urekebisho wa Citeaux wa shirika la Mtakatifu Benedikto. Halafu akiwa na wenzake sita yaani mapadri 4 na mabruda 2,ambapo alitafuta mahali pa faragha kabisa ili kuanzisha monasteri, akapewa na askofu wa Grenob,Ugo wa Grenoble, ambaye alisukumwa na njozi. Eneo hilo la kufaa lilikuwa bonde katika milima iliyoitwa «Cartusia»
Monasteri ilianza kujengwa katikati ya mwaka 1084, kwenye mita 1175 juu ya usawa wa bahari.Inasemekana Kanisa tu lilijengwa kwa mawe, ili liweze kuwekwa wakfu, kama ilivyofanyika mwaka 1085.
Miaka sita baadaye Papa Urban II , aliyekuwa mwanafunzi wake huko Reims, alimuita Roma, atumikie Ukulu mtakatifu. Mtakatifu Bruno hakuweza kukataa, hivyo aliacha upweke kwa wenzake.
Mtakatifu Bruno alipotii wito wa Papa, alihisi kuwa jumuia yake kwa kukosa uongozi wake itaingia jaribuni; na kweli ilisambaratika. Lakini alifaulu kuwarudisha Kartusi waendelee chini ya Landuino.
Pamoja na hayo, Bruno hakuweza kuzoea mazingira na majukumu ya Roma, akitamani kurudi upwekeni.
Urbano II alipokimbia Roma, kutokana na kaisari Henri IV kuvamia Dola la Papa na kumteua antipapa Klementi III, Mtakatifu Bruno alimfuata Papa Italia Kusini.
Kwa pendekezo la Papa, alichaguliwa askofu mkuu wa Reggio Calabria, lakini alikataa.
Hatimaye alikubaliwa kwenda upwekeni Italia kusini.
Mwaka 1090 mtawala Roger I wa Sicilia alimtolea eneo kwenye mita 790 juu ya usawa wa bahari, mahali palipoitwa Torre, leo Serra San Bruno , katika mkoa wa Calabria .
Huko Mtakatifu Bruno alianzisha makao ya upwekeni ya Mtakatifu Maria, na karibu kilometa 2 bondeni - ambapo leo ipo Certosa di Serra San Bruno - alianzisha kwa ajili ya mabruda monasteri ya Mtakatifu Stefano.
Halafu, mwaka 1094 hivi, Roger alipompatia msaada wa familia ya Mulè, Bruno aliipangia mahali pa mbali kidogo, ambapo sasa ipo Serra San Bruno.
Bruno, akirudia maisha aliyoyacha Ufaransa, alimalizia maisha yake kwa miaka 10 upwekeni. Wakati huo alitembelewa na Landuino, mwandamizi wake huko Kartusi.
Mtakatifu Bernadeta Soubirous alizaliwa tarehe 7,Januari 1844 na alifariki Tarehe 16 Aprili 1879 na baadae alitangazwa kuwa Mtakatifu na Papa Pius XI mwaka 1933.Kwa kifupi alizaliwa mji wa Lourdes nchini Ufaransa.
Wazazi wa Mtakatifu Bernadeta Soubirous walikuwa maskini sana naye alikuwa mtoto wa tisa alibatizwa kwenye kanisa la Mtakatifu St. Pierre tarehe 9 Januari katika udogo wake aliugua ugonjwa wa kuala na asma pamoja na kuugua huko kwenye familia kimaskini aliweza kuishi.

People thought you were crazy for your actions, but it was through your obedience that at that location, a healing spring now exists. Mtakatifu Elizabeti wa Ureno anayejulikana pia kama Isabela Perez au Isabela wa Aragona alikuwa malkia wa nchi toka 1282-1325 hiyo kabla hajaanzisha jumuiya ya kitawa ya Utawa wa tatu wa Mt.Fransisko karibu na monasteri ya Waklara.
Alitangazwa na kuwa Mtakatifu na Papa Urban VIII tarehe 25 Mei 1625.Mtakatifu Elizabeth wa Ureno alizaliwa mwaka 1271 kwenye nyumba ya kifalme Aragona ambapo alikuwa binti wa Mfalme Peter III.Mtakatifu Elizabeti wa Ureno aliolewa na Mfalme Denis wa Ureno ambapo mipango ya kuolewa ulianza kupangwa mwaka 1281 alipokuwa na miaka kumi.Mwaka 1288 ndo harusi yake ilisherekewa akiwa na miaka 17 na Mfalme Denis akiwa na miaka 26.Mtakatifu Elizabeti wa Ureno alifariki July 1336
